The most recent dye results. Five more colors setting up in the pot over the wood stove! Berry, purple, grass green, maya blue and deep navy. These will be some napkins to put in shops this spring after I work my design magic on them!

Before the addition of extra blue strips.
Need more brown cloth that will match this to do some borders. Dyed some more cloth today and hope to have a brown that will work. Otherwise, off to Keepsake Quilting!
After the extra blue strips are pinned in place.

Taking a break from all that piecework and doing some needle felting on a vest that has been laying around way too long with nothing on it!
Some pieces are coming together. Not quite sure where this is going yet.... Need to sneak in some more of the blue. It makes me think of cracks in the ice on Lake Winnipesaukee.

One of several views of lamp shade.
This a cylindrical lamp that a friend asked me to paint. It is about 20 inches in diameter. It put me into big anxiety at first, this type of painting not my style. But I got over it and am proud of trying something new!

This is something new I tried, sewing curves. I actually did this before on a quilt for my daughter but didn't use this technique. Need to look at her quilt to figure out what how I did it then! Used some pretty batiks in magenta and orange.

Also tried this technique starting with a squarish piece, splicing into it at an angle and sewing in a sliver of a contrasting color. These are all done with recycled linens I have been stashing away! I needed to use it for something or get rid of it!

Then I put them together! Maybe the next step is putting some long wavy pieces between these panels? I like the contrast of the straight edges against the curves. Knowing my preferences, there will probably be some printmaking involved as this comes together and a splash of a blue or green!
